Coming from the side the receives the bug and tech reports, we'd prefer everybody reported them, in as much detail as possible.
One person may report a bug that just lets you know there's a bug, another report lets you know it's not a one off, another will give details of what's happening from a different view. It all helps track the problem down.

It seems to be a Yahoo thing for sure. There were two folks on my library director's discussion list whose accounts were used to spam all of us. Both were Yahoo accounts.

Never trust a sneaky e-mail provider.

Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary] Posted Feb 1, 2013
>>Spammers are a strange species. Why do they think we will buy their Viagra, or talk to their hot Russian babes, if they send us so many emails?<<
They don't really think _you_ will buy anything. They think _someone_ will - and they're right. There are always fools. And since sending out emails costs close to no money (unlike, say, printing and distributing physical junk mail), it's a good deal for them: they can send out millions and millions of these things, and even if just 1% of them get any response, they make a profit.
(Also, are you sure this was a browser-switch-[rooster]-up rather than your account getting hacked? Because if it's the latter, you should probably change passwords.)

If in doubt - be it ever so slight - change your password
This morning I got a response from a friend whom I told eons ago that her yahoo-account might have been hacked
Turns out she had left yahoo many moons ago, so it was only today she noticed my mail
As i mentioned before I've had a similar problem - people wondering why I sent them adverts for polish gay porn and hair contidioner. I now have a password that even I can't remember and since then everything has been quiet in the Shipka Pass

Not only did I change that password, but - since the browser switch did, indeed, mess everything up, including my ability to send out emails from that account - I made a new account.
Which was why I was sending it out.

{Coming from the side the receives the bug and tech reports, we'd prefer everybody reported them, in as much detail as possible.}
I spend a proportion of my day at work dealing with escalated problems - where people aren't happy with the service they're receiving, often because they've waited too long for something to be fixed.
I investigate, and in a surprising number of cases, they had never even reported the problem to the service desk in the first place. They just assumed we'd know about it and be working on it.

Oh Icy, yes. I *hate* that! I've lost count of the number of times someone complains about something very vocally that they say has been happening for months, and when you look into it, it's the first it's ever been reported, including by them!
Please folks, if it's broken or not working as you believe it should, let your techies know!
