Easter Quiz...

I tried your Easter quiz, but I didn't get much further than the first Intro which took an amazingly long time to download (the second intro eventually timed out, so I gave up).

I know I should be using e-mail, but I think the first intro is "Lean on Me". I could be wrong. I think I've been wrong before once or twice. smiley - smiley

I wonder why they took so long to download - I think they're fairly small files? And no, it's not Lean on Me. (although I cannot remember what they are anymore - oops, maybe I should have written down the answers somewhere.)

What? You forgot? Geez, good thing I stopped after the first one. smiley - smiley

It does sound like an intro to a "Lean on Me"-type song though, doesn't it? Sure wish you could enlighten me on that one.

Ok, I've checked out the files and the answer to number one is 'You've got a Friend' by Carole King - and that pretty much reflects the tone of the rest of the quiz smiley - smiley

Carole King? Got any Carpenters in there? smiley - smiley

There's no Carpenters (but not for lack of source material). Some of them are actually fairly modern and up-to-date pop tunes - the 70s stuff accidentally snuck in whilst I wasn't watching.

I see. The same kind of thing happens to me. When I'm programming, bugs tend to accidentally sneak in whilst I'm temporarily away from my desk. Gee, how does that happen, anyway? smiley - smiley

One of the sweet mysteries of life - and certainly nothing to do with either of us smiley - smiley

Played badminton tonight for the first time in over a year - I was not very good smiley - winkeye

So have you had a go at any of the other intros yet?

Not yet. Way too busy at work. Now it looks as though I'll be working all weekend long.

I shudder to think how lame I would be if I were to play tennis again. I think the last time I played was about two years ago. I daresay I'd likely suck at it. smiley - smiley

I suspect I shall not be able to walk very well tomorrow. We were very very bad - I guess it was funny in a way.

How's work? Not finished yet? smiley - winkeye

Oh... God...

Err, um, no, I'm not quite finished yet.

Is it getting a bit scary?

Post 14

Nick O`Teen

Well, it cost me pretty much the entire weekend, but I managed to get it all done. This is a shame, because the weather was absolutely spectacular all weekend long, and all managed to get was a few minutes standing on my balcony in the late afternoon. Weak.

Now it's mondayand the weather absolutely sucks. It's started pouring rain, but it waited until after I'd left for lunch (sans unbrella) so I got completely soaked on the way back.

Mondays. Bah, humbug!

What i did on my holidays...

defrosted dad's freezer
washed the kitchen floor
er.. that's it.

I can only imagine how much ice was built-up in the freezer, or just how dirty the kitchen floor was. You either did a lot of lounging, or those were two very intensive jobs. smiley - smiley

Ever have one of those days where it feels like you've lost all your writing abilites? I must have made about twenty typos in the above paragraph.

Blimey - I go away for a few days and everything changes... it's not me going mad is it, but h2g2 has had a bit of a revamp!

I actually did a tonne of chores for my dad but listing them all would actually have been very very dull. Anyway - after a few days of further visiting friends and family, I am now back home. And absolutely exhausted - and there are no provisions at home, so it looks as if I have to go to the shops...

Blimey, I sure know how to have a good time smiley - winkeye

Man, is it ever getting quiet around here. All of the church members seem to have gone silent all at the same time. Funny how that happens from time to time.

I'll be heading off to Whistler soon, for a well-deserved weekend of fun and sun. Mid-July, I believe.

I finally got to see Fight Club (on DVD). I thought it was great.

Work has finally slowed down, even though we went over schedule by a few days. Oh well, it was a completely unrealistic deadline, anyway.

I've been trying to help Kensington set up his own page on H2G2 but I think I need another e-mail address for his account. I'm supposed to have five e-mail addresses but I can't seem to get the other four to work. I've sent e-mails to telus twice now, and they have yet to reply. How could they so cruelly ignore the plight of a weevil pinging up and down for his own e-mail address? The b******s.

Now it's 12:30am, and I'm very tired, and my eyes are burning because I'm so tired, but for some strange reason I'm not making any typos. At least none that I've noticed. smiley - smiley

Well, enough random thoughts for one night, I think. You'll probably be waking up in an hour or two. Oop, there I go again.

I've been awake for hours and hours - no slacking in this house! (although still wandering around in my pjs). Back to work tomorrow so I have a ton of stuff I should be doing, and I ought to go to the gym really (not sure if I'll manage that though).

If you hit a complete dead end with your multiple e-amil addresses, you can 'borrow' one of mine - I have about a million.

Well, that's very kind of you to offer up one of you millions of e-mail addresses, but I think that Kensington might have troubles replying to any fan mail he thinks he'll get, let alone getting the alleged fan mail in the first place. Silly weevil.

I forgot to do laundry this weekend so here I sit, surfing, whilst I do my laundry, and it's 11:00pm and I have to be up at 6:00am, and I still have about another hour to go before my laundry is all done.

And it's pouring rain outside. And it's cold. Whine, whine, whine...
