I'm currently researching an entry. And as I was making a cup of tea, I was wondering how the Amber Road would connect to North Africa.
So when I got back to my desk, I caught myself moving the poster I was going to hang on the wall off my keyboard so I could google.
The poster is a world map...

And I learned, more than fifteen years ago, to control my dreams by reloading where I last saved whenever things started to turn from bad to worse. The second best way to escape from a nightmare (right after waking up)!
So, playing too many computer games is actually GOOD for you!

Ah, yes. The shoes.
Now, in all fairness, I was far from awake at the time.
I was looking for my shoes. So I typed "shoes" into google.
But then I realised that that was silly, it would bring up too many. So I put in "brown boots" instead.
It was slowly dawning on me that that approach wouldn't help, either, because then I'd just find shoes on the internet, and I wanted *my* shoes.

Wonderful story, Mala. I think I love you a little bit, because I've been known to do the same sorts of things.

My sister and I were at our parents house yesterday (Dad's birthday), and as usual were comparing apps on our phones. She wasn't impressed with the calroie-counting My Fitness Pal I'm currently using. She said she WOULD be impressed if you could just take a photo of the plate of food and let the app work out all the calories and nutrients from that.
We then discovered we'd forgotten to bring our fancy wellies for my mother's WI contest - I have a spotty pair, sis has a gothic pair. We reckoned there was a gap in the market for a "bring my wellies!" app.
