Is any one else having problems adding to their journal? Whenever I hit the add to Journal link it takes me to a BBC deadend where there is no option to add anything!
Any help appreciated

I had this, because I had logged into DNA from the Points of View boards. As Peet said, it seems not all DNA logins are equal. If you log in with PoV or another non-h2g2 site, you don't get the chance to make journal entries. So I had to log out (sign off) from my PoV identity, and create a new identity, logging in this time from the h2g2 page. I've just done this and have been merrily creating a journal entry and it all works fine now.
I hope it works OK for you. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks Dagesh, that's a bit of a poor do and I half suspected it. Does that mean you then have to re-create your home area? That would be a pain as I've been busy adding friends and updating it. Grrrrrr
Thanks for the tip though, I'll try it in a sec, as I too came from POV which seems very limited compared to this.

Lè Phantom, you, it is a bit of a problem. Partly my fault, I'm afraid, as when we were coming over from Mustardland I suggested that people signed up, but forgot to specify "...with h2g2".
When Mustardland's fully DNA-enabled, we may or may not have Personal Spaces. From what Peta's said, though, about viewing lists of conversations on our PS, it's a fair bet we will have them. Peta also said that if we want, she can have us "moved" over onto Mustardland once it launches. In that case, if you just hang on, your PS will magically appear once you've moved over.
Your other option is, as you surmise, to set up a new h2g2 persona. If you keep your POV one you can always move *that* to Mustardland later, and keep the new persona on h2g2. That way, you can use it when you want to post out-of-hours...

This surely has to be a glitch in their software. I do have a fully functioning Personal Space, everything works fine except the Journal and it's the same in the Colective though they call it a weblog there.
Not your fault at all as I signed up in December 04, when later I came over here it encouraged you to use your existing BBCi membership to log in. That makes sense as they can't want to encourage multiple persona's.
How do we flag up this kind of problem? I think I'll try Peta herself, she seems all knowing

LP, you could be right, but I suspect it's more because you've followed links with "h2g2" in them, and the system's got confused. If you had stuck to PoV, you'd never have ended up anywhere with a link to "My Space".
Afaik, it's just that your space has never been initialised because the PoV signup... well... doesn't. It's not a part of the DNA functionality that they asked for.
What *should* be possible is, the first time you visit your space, to have a page saying "I agree to the h2g2 T&C", with a "Yes" button that enables your space, and a "No" button that goes back to where you came from. But that would need a bit of techy magic...

I'm confused I do have a space here http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/U1162291
It functions fine and as far as I can tell the only thing that does not work is the Journal which is throwing an error message up.
That techy magic you speak of how do I get it to do that?
Sorry to bother you with all this.
Thanks

As I was saying, it's just confused. It *looks* like your space is fully functional, but the bits that count for the Journal etc. aren't really.
The technical wizardry is beyond even me I'm afraid. I know who to talk to, but it'll have to be much later; I need to head off-site for half an hour or so to do some downloads for a friend.
The guy I want to talk to probably won't be on-site till tomorrow morning anyway.
