Thanks Tavaron - this is really interesting stuff.
It must be really depressing for the teachers to see attendance dwindling to that extent, even if it is par for the course!
I know you study at home, but are there halls of residence? Is it 'on campus'? Do you get many overseas students?

The teachers are used to it. They all know that most people won't be able to finish or just aren't interested anymore after a while. They even advice many people to either search for something else to study or come to their exercises again in the next year because they see no hope for them.
No, it's no campus. There are halls of residence in the city, but they don't belong to uni. Many people live in a flat-sharing community.
(may take a while till I find time to write this entry... I don't want to belong to the 50% drop out)

Oh, and to answer your question: we have 20,1% foreign students... I found a list of all countries somewhere but can't remember where

Turkey 5566
Germany 354
Bosnia 322
Italy 262
Bulgaria 257
Great Britain has only 11
Ireland 3
and the USA 13
... not much
