h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm planning to go on holiday in the Czech Republic - Prague and Sumava - camping. I've seen some relevant Guide entries, but there's not a lot.
Can anyone who really knows the place recommend good campsites, places to see, places to avoid etc.?

I've been to a nice campsite in Prague 2 and a half years ago. I will have to look the name up at home if you want. It's a very nice one in the outskirts of Prague but you can easily get into Prague with Public transportation. They also have little huts for rent there in case you don't want to bring a tent or a caravan.
And one advice, on trains don't show your ticket to anybody shouting ticket control and not wearing a uniform, there are lots of these guys that steal your ticket and then the next one comes and wants you to pay a fine for not having a ticket. They tried it with us, but it didn't actually work out as they had planned it...
Apart from that, I experienced Prague as kind of a safe town as long as you keep an eye on your things
