Anyhoo - Boardwalk Empire.
I heard the director wanted to make the finale an hour longer but was knocked back on cost reasons. That's why we only saw a pastiche of the violence Capone unleashed and why Van Alden didn't feature at all..
Imagine if the final episode had been 2 hours long and heavily featured Rosetti and Capone at war!!!
