Question: when you control Z, do things get undone?

Hoovooloo Posted Jan 13, 2012
Oh Christ I'd hit "Post" on that one before I'd thought through all the possible implications. Sorry. Undo. Take back. Delete. Eek!

The thing is, will we ever Shift-Z?

Any response to this is not safe for work....

Have you tried depressing the 'F' key?
I often find if you want to Shift Z, you need to tell him to F off first.

"Have you tried depressing the 'F' key?"
Hey, F key - the banking system is screwed, global warming's accelerating, the oil's running out, we're no nearer solving how to do fusion, the euro's likely to collapse and probably in a few years China will rule the world. Also, you look fat.
That should do it.

I like the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V combo
and Alt+Tab
is there a definitive list of the keyboard shortcuts? I relly don't like using a mouse.

Now, see, I use MS Office so rarely that I can't remember most of these shortcuts. My working day is spend in a code editor (WeBuilder, since you don't ask), and about six different browsers.

I don't keep them in my brain, my fingers know them.
The new one I had to learn for changing windows within an application (as opposed to alt-tab for changing between applications) is Alt-F-W but I think that's a German version because W stands for "Wechseln" which means change. And the F stands for "Fenster" which is Window.

I change between tabs of an application using Ctrl-Page Up and Ctrl-Page Down.

Sho - employed again! Posted Jan 14, 2012

Ctrl-Page Up and Ctrl-Page Down. I never thought of trying that in Word. In Excel it takes you from one sheet to the next within a spreadsheet file.
tap - tap - tap....
No, it doesn't work in the German version.
