I just want to rave about how good Neil Gaiman's Doctor Who story was

The story was utterly beautiful.
But, 
just a tad disappointingly executed.
A sentiment only reinforced by watching Gaiman reading excerpts on Confidential.
I hope the script is worked into a novella. It's too gorgeous to only be available as that episode.
