Is this a real law?

This reminds me ... you can sign up to the "Mail preference service" which stops companies from sending you junk mail. However it won't stop junk mail that is from overseas, unaddressed or addressed to The Occupier. Which all in all makes it pretty useless in my eyes ...

I'm not really here

The postman puts most of the junk mail through the door, even though I keep telling him to stop it. smiley - cross Other than that I get clothes collection leaflets, and they all ignore signs as they don't speak English, let alone read it!

Glad to see it is a real law, although it does seem to be taken a bit too far. I'd certainly never argue with money coming through the door!

Hi Mina

You can ask your postie for a form that allows you to opt out of unsolicited mail delivered by the Post Office. If s/he will not give you one then go to the local sorting office and ask for one.

We have also put a notice in the window by the front door saying that we do not conduct any business at the door. This usually works except for surveys and the Word of the Lord in its many guises. I'm going to change the notice to a more general catch-all description mentioning unwarranted intrusion into my drinking time.

PS The Betterware catalogue gets recycled, which annoys them intensly, and all the charity bags as well since we can now recycle them.

I don't see why I need a form when I see him every day!

I recycle all the catalogues as well, I normally blame the teenacher. smiley - winkeye I tell them if they want something, why give it to a stranger!?

The white bags bags I use, they're so useful, for collecting rubbish, stuff I want to take to a *real* charity (how many clothes do they think I can use to fill these bags without ending up naked 24/7!?), dog poop, lining litter bins, fabulous. And free!
