Tough Call
Mick & Hoppa Canuck Started conversation Aug 11, 2000
Hey! Howdy-hi-there-friends-&-neighbours!
I was just noticing how several conversations had congealed as "what tunes do you like?"
I am proposing now to solicit from all Hitchhikers; their (OUR?)
proposals for BEST MUSICAL RECORDINGS TO SEND AS EARTH-MAIL....
To another planet.
As a start, I submit: "The Wall",* by Pink Floyd; Sgt. Pepper's (etc) by The Beatles;
*(produced, in majority, by Bob Ezrin; a Canadian)
***** And here if I may, a note to "classical" music afficianados:
"It's good. Yet, they are gone. It happens. I reckon Roger Waters and Paul McCartney and many others ought to have earned the same status as Mozart & Paganinni; Wagner & Strauss..*******
Mozart, in his time, was as much a "rockstar" as Eddie Van Halen. So was Paganinni. And Chopin.
Who are the "classical musicians" of the 22nd century?
What will endure?
This'll be good, man!
PLT, Mick.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
