DragonQueen, I really like the book I recommended earlier on this thread, because it helps the owner discern among several different types of cat aggression. The chapter on aggression identifies fear aggression, petting-induced aggression, redirected aggression, pain-induced aggression, territorial aggression, intercat aggression, stress-related aggression, and more.
