Hello all.
My Missus and I keep four garden chickens, and one of them has started falling over and kicking its legs in the air.smiley - sadface
After a few minutes it gets up and recovers. Anyone heard of epilepsy in chickens?smiley - erm
Wonder if it'll make a good vindaloo?smiley - winkeye

Seems they do get epilepsy. 'Epilepsy Chickens' gives 675,000 Google hits.

And that's possibly the oddest Google search I've ever done.

Thanks for that.
I don't like using Google - too much like big brother. They want to rule the world, and besides, I don't appear on their searches!!!smiley - wah

One of Mr. Nerd's fellow brewers related a story about the time he fed his chickens on spent grains. The birds ate the partially fermented food, then rolled over on their backs, slowly kicking their feet in the air. After a bit, they got up, ate some more, and repeated the process.

Perhaps your chicken has found something partially fermented to eat?

STRANGELY STRANGE ( A brain on a spring )

I know of a cat with epilepsy.
I don't see that the chicken can't lead a normal life as long as it isn't suffering and has too many seizures. Clearly it won't be allowed to drive until seizure free for a year!
.
Seriously though it should be ok and happy if still fit and well.
