Yes and no !
It would be much easier to understang and to write guide entries.
But on the other hand: the point of h2g2 is its universality !
Imho, therfore It would be much better to have a babbelfish for
all those non-native english speakers.
This should be possible, right ?

perhaps he reacts in some way. Falling asleep when you are hearing extremly boring things or so.
Sometimes it would surly be good to have a babbelfish filtering everything you hear, like in an argument with your girlfriend wether you wil meet your buddies this evening or not. (Including the part where you have to admit that you are going to drink something and will come home totally drunk.)
But I guess this is all nonsense. But actually here are some translation programs which try to convert texts on websites in different languages. I never tried one of those because I simply can't imagine the can work at all. Has anybody here gained some experience on those programs ?

Aber woher weiß ich denn, daß "Honeyjunkie" eigentlich ein "Honigsüchtiger" ist ???
Vielleicht schreiben wir hinter jeden Namen das Land. Ich wäre dann Ralf (D) ??

Ich habe nicht einmal gewußt, daß es einen Rapper Namens Thomas D gibt !
....und dein Name ist schon in Ordung so, es ging doch nur darum, wie es einfach zu sehen ist welche Sprache man spricht......
