Tin opening woes

A Hammer and chisel works too.

Forgot tin opener when camping in US and a fellow camper sliced our tin open with his hunting knife really easily - but was nasty looking long knife with sharp and serated edges and probably illegal here and I bet his wife had electric can opener in the Winnebago!

Plasma cutter.

Only buy the type with ring-pull opener in future

I knew it!smiley - biggrin

I once watched a film where the hero carried a tin around with him the whole time, and almost starved to death for want of a tin-opener. His excuse was there was a war on, what's yours?smiley - winkeye

The really silly thing is that I have since discovered that among my collection of tinned mulch are a couple of cans with easy open ring pull lids. smiley - doh

Isn't mulch the stuff you put on your garden?

Why would anyone put that in tins? Surely a bag would be a better container.

I have opened many a can with a decent sharp knife. You need a pointy end, though.
