I like snails but have not got any as pets. My cousin used to keep Giant African Land Snails he was on TV once with them.

We had one of these..It/Terence lived for 4 years.They are easy to keep but do need a heated environment in the winter.We used a heat pad under a plastic aquarium.We found bark chippings were the best for Terence to burrow in.
It ate lettuce and fruit mostly.Had to spray him occasionally with warm distilled water.It did enjoy drinking a teeny weeny bit of beer out of my hand from time to time.

It is illegal to import these animals into my country. Some African people did it a few years back and were caught by the customs people. They sent all the snails to the zoo where they have been living happily ever since.

I dunno. They come over here, try and smuggle themselves through customs, live in our zoos.....
