Have been looking at the RSS feeds for h2g2. With a bit of url modification I've got semi-working feeds for askh2g2 and my conversations. The only ones currently listed on Backstage are the most recent site conversations and most recent guide entries (all, not editied). They're still a little iffy tho but I guess they'll improve over time.

Can someone please explain what APIs and RSS feeds are?
I had a quick look but can't get it

An API is a set of commands, functions and resources that allow one piece of computer software to communicate with another. For example, when google released their API someone put together a program that used the output of an image search to produce a guessing game:

RSS is essentially a method of providing a news digest to a compatible news feed reader, email client. For example the BBC News site has RSS feeds for their current headlines.

Thanks for that - though to be honest, I think I'll stick to my policy that if I don't understand what is being offered I can probably live without it
