What should I have for supper?

I'm cooking at home tonight (a football game out in the wilds of Tallaght and being out last night in Oliver St John Gogarty's have sapped my energy so can't rouse myself to go out for a meal).
Th weather is grey and nondescript, and I am quit ehungry having had cereal and a ham and cheese sandwich thus far today.
Any thoughts? I'm thinking wholesome and warming stuff.

Steak and chips with ceiser salad, mushrooms in garlic butter, carrots, and whatever sauces and seasoning you prefer 
ice cream for desster with tons of choc sprinked on it
