Rather sad b***ers my lot. No big fads or anything. A few wonderful pictures of poor clothing and hair choices in the sixties and seventies, but apart from that it's school, collage/uni, work, work, work The only interesting characters are the great uncles who had chains of other wimmin.

No chav relatives but an alarming amount of chav friends!
We have somwhere near where I live and work which seems to be 'chav central', the woman drip with 9ct gold and push burburry pushchairs and the men also drip with gold while driving/tuning up cars with ridiculous exhuasts and body kits that leave a rainbow of colours on the surrounding speed humps....
I would name where they are but a very good friend of mine lives there and would come in and chastise me!
There was a documentary on the Mods and Rockers clash recently on television, I think it was about quite a large one that took place in Margate? Very interesting it was too

Hey - this is gonna be a bit out of sync but I just gotta say - ATDI's "One Armed Scissor"? Amaaaaaazing song!!!
And (to counter my earlier cynicism) not all chavs are bad. Some of them are nice. I just don't understand how they work, that's all!
But then wouldn't life be boring and predictable (not to mention lacking in catfights) if we all understood one another...

And (to attempt to catch up with the conversation)... apparently there's a town in Kent where the teenage mothers spraypaint their pushchairs gold. I only hope they removed the child first.
Who started this?? And why were they asking?!

I have my own definiton of chav. I don't care what someone wears, looks like or how they speak. A person is a chav if they are automatically aggressive towards strangers (especially when they have the back up of a few mates). The other day I was out jogging and a kid was walking (on his own) towards me. He quietly stepped out of the way. On my second circuit of the park he was standing with his mates and he wouldn't get out of the way. When I'd run on a little further he started shouting abuse.
Pathetic.
A chav.
