Isn't 'rod' teh commonly used slang for a metal dangerous bullet firing thing? or am I being too 1920's I might buy a balaclara for the next hat after I get a tophat/trilby/bowler

With Neil Gaiman's Mr Hero as the lead character of course. (But NOT! with his Tom Seleck head on ).
Mind you, in the Wheel of Worlds series, bowlers were much more common than toppers. We may have an explosion of people who look like they're training to be bank managers. That won't appear too adventurous will it?
