Snow in Northants at 7.15pm. It was hugely exciting, esp for OSH who's only seen it on Postman Pat and Thomas until now. Bedtime was slightly late as a result.

It did settle here, I mean we're not talking snow drifts or anything (although it might not be safe for me to drive into work tomorrow ) only about a centimetre or two, but it's stayed and it's freezing hard now.

Snow in Essex? I didn't see any here (West Essex), but it was pouring with rain all night.

Here in Brum it rained all day, hailed when I had to drive home - can't see out of the window to turn, open it, hail in face, mmm lovely - then it snowed all evening. There's still settled snow on the car tops. Glad I didn't have to walk home mind...

The little dog just sat and stared at it. I saw Tower Bridge on telly this morning - no snow there.

Glossop, Derbyshire - First snow of the season fell last night and is still around today, making the hilltops I can see from the bedroom window sparkle in the bright morning sunlight
