I feel like I am getting sick: For the past two I have had pressure on my ears, especially in the evenings, now I seem to have a little difficulties swallowing.
What am I getting this time?

Lymph Thingies are fine, as far as ever so tender hands can tell.
Mumps - no, never had that. I seem to have had none of those childhood diseases. Don't you get immunized against Mumps? If so, does the immu wear off, and when does it? (As of 2001, I had a complete immunization record for all the required and most of the recommended immunizations (required and recommended in Germany, that is) The one I regularly skip is the Flu-Frency that gets everybody psyched up just before Christmas...)

You should have a look into your Impfpass, to see whether you've been vaccinated against Mumps, I have no idea since when it has been a recommended vaccination in Germany, and anyway, they update the recommends every few years, so ...
Everlasting immunisation you can only obtain by surviving the disease, a vaccination has to be freshed up every few years, so perhaps it would be best to pay the 10 Euros and go and see your doctor
