Right that sounds like there's still stuff left in the registry. You can either try reinstalling the printer and hope it doesn't add it to the add/remove programs list twice, or you can muck about in the registry with regedit to remove the relevant entries. It's probably best doing this logged in an account with Administrator privileges, and the latter is only recommended if you know what you're doing (back up the registry first to avoid a worst case scenario, that way if you remove the wrong thing, you can restore it).
