I was just wondering if there were any rare urban myths from england, and if they are the same as the funny ones we get over here?

Isn't "rare urban myth" a contradiction in terms? The whole point is that they are widely beleived as true.

But we generate loads - mostly to do with the tabloid press hatred of the European Union (EU) Every year there are stories such as

"Europe wants to straighten our bananas"
"Eurrope wants to ban our chocolate" (IMHO I wish it was true, whilst our chocolate isn't as bad as the US's it is nothing comapred to continental europes chocolate)
"Europe wants to ban our milk deleveries"
"...make us drive on the right"
"....ban our sausages"

etc.

All of these get taken in by the heard following working, tabloid reading masses of this country and get taken for fact.

Sad but true.

yeah i know rare urban myth is a contradiction, but i figured some urban myths would be universal, so it was the only way i could figure to ask the question clearly.
