Bedlam cube strategy

If you have a Bedlam cube, what sort of strategy do you use in solving it? Obviously there's spatial thinking involved, but also we can use memory of which bit goes where, and related to that, language, in that some bits look a bit like letters or numbers, so they can form sequences.

If my future mother-in-law is anything to go by, the ideal strategy is some uncharacteristic swearing followed by accusations directed at us for buying her the bloody thing for Christmas.

...hmmm, I think it is a wonderful device for helping children understand spatial thinking, but it is indeed an infernal device for those of us with 'better' things to do....
If you really wanted, you could easily find a solution online for her.

Sorry, dragging up yet another old thread. I just wanted to say that my strategy is to go into Google, type 'Bedlam cube solution' and follow the onscreen directions. All other strategies I tried failed miserably.
