h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi, I've just installed a new radiator and put some sludge-clearer in my CH system. This will need draining out before I put in the corrosion inhibitor. Anyone Know the best way to drain this? I thought of decoupling the fill pipe and opening a radiator bleed valve until all the water drains out, but don't know if there's an 'official' way!
Any help gratefully accepted, I don't have a manual and can't find an online one.

There's usually a drain point on one of the pipes near the boiler.

Thanks, I'll clear the garage floor and look for something that might be a drain point; it's all a bit spaghetti junction down there!
I remember the chap who fitted it had the water going out through the overflow pipe, but can't figure how he made the connection!

I know in our combi boileer, theres soemthign built into the boiler itself, so when they* drained it a while back when I had some stuff done to it (non technical I used a pluber answer here I'm afraid), it drained itslef automatically with no need for buckets etc, I guess* it drained into an effluence/outwater pipe that must be connected to the boiler

Just had a look and checked and there is indeed a drain point on a pipe that goes to a radiator, just an inch or so below where theromostat on radiator normally is.
When a central heating system was installed (combi) 5 years ago they had a rubber pipe attached to this drainage point.

It will be located at the lowest point on the system.
