The author makes you guess the outcome of some of the side stories, so I guessed he was being cryptic. Now, I know he was also being relatively historical.
Just checked in with the Los Angeles Public LIbrary, and they say there's a library on the MLCS in Alabama that has a copy. Should I get a spare 5 USD, I shall reserve it and have a look.
