Depending on the form of copy protection the disc is using, you can often bypass it by inserting the disc and then holding down the left Shift key while the PC reads the disc. This stops the PC from automatically running any executable files in the CD-ROM section of the disc, and thus stops the copy protection from being invoked. It doesn't always work like this, of course... smiley - erm

Given that most people want to run their CD's on their computers, MP3 players etc. is it any wonder that when the music companies make it so difficult to transfer music into PC files that people end up turning to Bearshare and the like?
