Is anybody out there?
Whisky Started conversation Aug 25, 2003
Hello ello, llo, lo, lo, o, o
Where is everybody? Is it a bank holiday in the UK or has someone turned off the internet over there?

Crescent Posted Aug 25, 2003
No bank holiday in Scotland, only in Englandshire....
BCNU - Crescent

That would explain it Crescent...
Mind you, the Scots never do any work anyway, so the fact they're not on holiday 'officially' won't make a lot of difference

Tell me about it... mind you, no one can see my computer screen, so as long as I keep posting fast enough, they think I'm typing work documents and leave me alone... It's a pain in the neck when I want to lurk though!

Well I'm in England and I'm here, but then I'm a teenager so I guess that doesn't say much does it? Bank holidays are specifically for "doing the garden" and such...but I hate them, just means my parents are in the house more.

What are boxing cars? Are they like dodgems?
Also it's merry-go-rounds, otherwise a girl called Mary would get travel sick
I never knew Spain had "owned" the Netherlands! or was it just bits or what? I'm intrigued now...tell me more. Oh hi by the way

nothing realy to tell, because I do not keep track of all happing in my town!
...school started 2 week ago and now the kids have 28 Aug a day off. I believe there is some horse racing, but I have not seen any agenda for day.

sorry it was not Spanish.
...but the Diocese of Munster, French and England were attacking my town at same time. Diocese of Munster was surounding my town and the town was free itself on 28 Aug 1672

I've got wireless networked broadband too! But...it doesn't rach as far as my bed so I have to sit on the carpet in the middle of my bedroom. It might stretch to my bed on a VERY good day.
I see, well, it's a bank holiday for the pure reason that it's the last weekend in August.
I'm sitting eating flap jack and trying to work out why, when I put something onto CD it doesn't then work as a CD but sits as a file on it. I was supposed to give Adobe GoLive to someone but it just sits as a file and doesn't auto run.

It is also the last Bank Holiday before Xmas! Most other countries squeeze in at least two more.
As for gardening? Pah! No1 son is going to do the hedges for some remuneration

Well I'm...lolling back on a big cushion! my parents are looking at the National Trust book to see if they want to go anywhere.
And WHAT does phrenologist mean?
Is anybody out there?
Zak T Duck Posted Aug 25, 2003
Phrenology was the study of the shape and protuberances of the skull, based on the now discredited belief that they reveal character and mental capacity
