Do any of you scientists out there know of a good place to look for info on recombinant DNA technology?

which seems to have some of the basics, I am a lapsed 
but I can think of at least two proper (Micro)biologists on site.

My son was looking for some info re positive and negative aspects of this for his A level coursework. I'll point him in the direction of the link you found - and suggest he googles himself another time.
