I don't think I'm the person in question - but... you're from BILLINGE??? get away! The place between Wigan and St Helens with the Box on the Hill and the maternity hospital? Are we talking about the same place????

My dad always said that there's nothing surprising about coming *from* Billinge, it's the idea of voluntarily going *to* Billinge that's weird

Best way to see Billinge - just the once!
Honestly - like most places it had its good bits and bad bits - but everyone I know from there thought it was an armpit, and wanted to get away to the bright lights!
Good bit: The slopes of Billinge Hill were good for blackberry picking 
Bad bit: I had my tonsils out in Billinge Hospital
