A relationship worth keeping is worth the effort it takes to maintain it every single day. When you have a difference, you need to immediately take stock of it. It could be you being a retard, and you need to learn to accept the difference. Or it could be something that could be a problem, in which case you need to work out a compromise. As each day passes with it unresolved, it makes it a little bit easier for one or both to walk away.
