Communism/ Socialism Book

Sentient Cabbage

Sorry for bothering the world at large, but I am looking for help finding a book that explains the differences between Communism, Socialism, Marxism and other such political systems. Can anyone help me? I would prefer if the book is not too dry, if possible with that cool dark, satirical undertones some such books are written with. Thank you!

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

The only thing that springs to mind is... it might be 'The Penguin...' or maybe 'The Fontana Dictionary of Modern Thought'. Not exactly what you're looking for, but it does give short, precise definitions of Marxism, etc, and a whole lot more besides.

'Not too dry'. You're hopeful. These people are not exactly famous for their sense of humour. Former commies make better reading. Try Paul Johnson's 'History of the Twentieth Century'. That should sort u outsmiley - tea

Try xrefer.com - it's a kind of index to online encyclopaedias and reference books. It's good for brief explanations.
