Does anyone else have any famous namesakes?
C Hawke Posted Jun 25, 2002
depending on which RL life name I use I have a New Zealand rugby player, a BNP leader in the North East and an ameteau actor who played a small part in a Hitch-hikers production.

... although, if you search for me in my h2g2 incarnation in google, I am top of the list which must mean something ... quite what I don't know but something all the same.

My other alter ego, BTW, seems to be a French National Front local politican.
So I think I'll keep quiet about that.

My dad's been tempted to pretend to be his. The Mike Salmon who is my dad is a scientist who works on rheumatology and immunology - funky biological stuff. However, there is another biologist called Mike Salmon, only he spends all his time in boats following turtles. More fun than examining synovial fluid samples, yes?

If I do a search on google for the name I use at work and then look at the images, apparently I'm friends with someone called Katie Foss who lives in Tuscon, Arizona, which is slightly strange as I've never been to Tuscon, Arizona and I've never met Katie Foss ...

If I do a search for my RL. It comes up with an ambassador to the states who was assasinated in 18something or other or an Aussie golfer

Apparently there's a wrestler who shares my user name - Though he's "The entity formerly known as TITAN" rather than Trillion.
And my RL namesake thought the pheasants ought to eat croissants...... shortly before she lost her head for the last time

I share my surname with a bloke who knocked out Mohammed Ali, apparently.
Maybe it was my Dad - I'll ask.

A guy who shares my RL name is alleged to be the baker who created and named 'Fig Newtons'.
How obscure is that?

A variation of my name is the same as a famous mayonnaise brand. Therefore everybody assumes at first that my name will be spelt the same as that bloody salad dressing
