h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

hi!

i'm looking for a picture of "don't panic" in large friendly letters as it was on the back cover of the (i think) original edition of the guide.

i want to use it as a screensaver. it would be even better if it was animated in slow motion.

If you are using Windows go to Help, Index, put in screen saver, follow the instructions and you can customise the screen saver to display anything you want

P.S. Welcome to h2g2. To get the most out of h2g2 you need to put something (ANYTHING the alphabet or just one character) in your 'Space'. Do that and you will get some friendly advice from an h2g2 member

i would like to know where to get the original picture of those letters (my edition of the guide with the big friendly letters on the back unfortunately fell in someone's bathtub so i can't even scan that).

once i've got the data (preferably)i can easily set it up as a screensaver.

but it looks like this is going to be more difficult to find than i thought.
