Does anyone know where 'Cool Beans' came from?

I've started a mini-quest, and found a couple of handy pages around the web. I've started listing what I've found, also:

Just wondered whether anyone else out there says 'cool beans' all the while, and if so, do you have more of a clue about where you got it from than I do?
Some questions JUST NEED ANSWERING, darn it!
