Exams and a date

I found out that the OU will no longer be using the cricket ground as an examination centre. I find this to be doubly disappointing because, not only will I no longer be able to gaze across the flat, green field as I ponder, but my next exam will also be my final OU exam. It will also be for my Shakespeare module and I feel that looking out at a cricket field is perfect for pondering Shakey. But perhaps I'm odd?
Which leads me to the date. I kind of met a girl last week and we texted each other all week and arranged to meet last night. We went out for dinner and chatted (very much in a getting to know each other type way.) I think it went ok. I wasn't shy and quiet like I often am but then, when I try not to be quiet and shy, I talk for the sake of talking and I think I'm probably boring! I didn't mention hootoo or minesweeper (I'm in the world top 750 ) but I'm really starting to think that I'm just a boring person. It's too early to say but I doubt I'll hear from her again. I don't think I'm boring once you get to know me but it seems to me that people don't want to get to know me because they think I'm boring
It looks like my next exam will be at the MK Dons football stadium; I'll let you know whether I get another date!

Good luck with it all (exams AND date).
I would never have thought you were boring, and if the girl texted you all week I guess she won't think that, either.

And what if she's sitting at home thinking 'I doubt he'll contact me again because I'm so boring?'
*I* don't think you're boring either.
Hopefully see you later today.

She sent me a text saying that she'd had a good time but didn't think things would lead anywhere. I suppose I need a bit of perspective. She's at least ten years older than me and finished a fourteen year marriage in September so I was probably her first date in at least fifteen years but she was the one who asked me out. I guess I'd just like to know whether it was all too odd for her or it was me. Can't believe I am over thirty and still expect people to be as honest with me as I am with them!
(btw Prof, she has two sisters- both older than she )

Oh yes, I forgot to update the date I mentioned all those months ago in my previous journal entry. Well, I kept in touch with the girl from *that* date but we didn't see each other that much until christmas. Over christmas we met in the pub several times and ended up saying happy new year with a . We met up on New Year's Day and sat and chatted and held hands and then went on a date a few days later. It seemed to be going well but when I went to give her a kiss good night she backed away and said she didn't do relationships and ran off. I saw her again saturday just gone and she seemed keen again
Now, *this* girl is more than ten years younger than me (I can hear as I write this) but we both said on our first date that neither of us wanted a relationship. Am I expecting too much honesty again?
And before anyone says about finding a girl my own age, I did. In summer, I met up with my girlfriend from uni (exactly one month older than me) for the first time in ten years and we ended up getting intimate . We then texted each other nearly every day until I went to stay with her in November. again!! Then she went all strange but that might've had something to do with her upcoming trip to New Zealand. She duly went just after christmas and she might not be back in UK for two years
This is all starting to sound like I have some kind of lovelife but it isn't really so. for the kind comments but I still think that I must be doing something wrong!
