Wouldn't Mama Be Proud?
Skankyrich [?] Started conversation Dec 19, 2008
Lainey's working on a big posh ball over at their place, so she went to work late this evening and won't be back until 5.30am.
Woo! Man in the flat alone! Time for mischief and fun!
The first thing I did was decide that the kitchen cupboards needed a sort-out, so I've thrown away all the manky old jars of beetroot that lurk in the back of the cupboards, cleaned all the shelves and reorganised all my spices.
Then I decided to play a bit of football on the PC, but soon got bored and found out how to look after my chillies over the winter instead. Then I did some pruning and stuff.
Then I realised my speakers weren't quite set up properly, and tinkered with them for a while.
Then I thought it would be nice to make a *really* good job of the kitchen, and I've started cleaning everything I haven't already cleaned.
And as I open my first beer of the night, I've suddenly realised that I might not be quite as good at these nights in as I used to be

In fact, the only dangerous thing I've done all night is to have a whole tin of beans, spiced up to the eyeballs, for my tea. I have my music up nice and loud to drown out the sounds of the party upstairs. To drown it out! I should be up there showing them how to drink, dammit!

Yeah, alright. I'm on a roll now...
I presuming that isn't some Kiwi euphemism, of course.

What can you be suggesting, Skanks?
I'm spending a wet summer day trying to make sense of slightly too much stuff for slightly too small a house Fortunately there is storage space galore, so if in doubt shove it in a cupboard
You're not still tidying and cleaning, are you? It must be almost bedtime...

"Time for mischief and fun!"
"The first thing I did was decide that the kitchen cupboards needed a sort-out"
Er, somehow those two sentences don't go together in my world The second one ought to be something like "The first thing I did was call the lads over for a knees-up and tell them to visit the off licence, the chippy and the takeaway curry house on the way"
"I've suddenly realised that I might not be quite as good at these nights in as I used to be"
Ah!

Great echo effect in here. It's these new 5.1 surround speakers I got, you know
I've just finished disinfecting the worktops. I might leave it there. I was tempted by polishing the breadbin, but I held back.
And now there isn't actually time to get drunk, as I have to be up for work in the morning.

Tsk, you young things, I don't know....
Mind you, you've reminded me that my "pasta and related items" cupboard is a bit untidy, and I did mention the other day that I'd have a look at it.

Good grief. I've started a wave of housework. So much for the revolution.

we'll all be well capable of cleaning up the mess once the backs have been against the wall, though.

I took the cleaning a step further and re painted the walls in the living room
Ok, that was'nt just a whim, i had to have all my heating replaced and they left the living room in need of some redecorating.

I'm working, but I did water the spider plant and polish my desk with real beeswax, not silicon...
*Note to self... the six months of mags and books on the dining table need moving before Christmas Day or I'll be wearing Christmas dinner!!! *
