Because self-promotion is *always* fun.
echomikeromeo Started conversation Feb 28, 2007
I've got a new website! (Yeah, we know how these things always go; they interest me for about a month and then they fall by the wayside.)
I swear this one won't, though - and particularly pay attention if you're between the ages of 13 and 19, cause then I need you!
The deal is I've got this website called http://worthlessdrivel.net and I'm aiming for it to be sort of a literary magazine kind of deal for teenagers. At least visit the link, just so that you can tell me you did. Thanks.

You can't post on the main website, GB - it's not interactive in the way that h2g2 is. If you go to the forums at http://worthlessdrivel.net/phpBB2/index.php you can register and post there, though.

Yes, at our time of life we have to get our pleasures vicariously. Still, it's nice to see what 'The Young Folk' are up to.

I'm a teenager! I'd love to contribute, but I probably will never be able to think of something to write/draw/take a picture of. But I'll let you know if I ever do come up with something good enough.

Clicking on "Adventures of Ralph" in the sidebar brings me to http://worthlessdrivel.net/art/ralph.html , which then redirects to the main page. Is there a reason for this?

Because I haven't uploaded RALPH! yet. It's a cartoon series, so I'm waiting for permission to use my dad's scanner, but that might take a while...
You should contribute, Wyatt - you'd be most welcome!

Leo, I sympathize. That is drattedly unfair, presuming that "drattedly" is a word of course.

leo, move to the UK, you can be a teenager and drink away the pain of being so!
Of course, as a teacher I really shouldn't say that!
But spending the morning disparing over 2 English exams for 14 year olds and then the afternoon telling wolf stories to 4 year olds (agency doesn't have enough people for all their placements!!) I had to finish the day with a few large bottles of continental lager

Don't worry, FB. It's only a little man in a chain-mail shirt and a tin hat.

Teenages shouldn't like 'Bo Rhap' or 'Imagine' !!! You're job is to play noisy, offensive stuff to annoy the likes of me.
(I don't think either of you will like my follow up to emr's comment re Lennon on my blog. I'm deadly serious about the last line, though.)

btw - I didn't drink the whole of February. I may celebrate with a class of tonight!
Actually, I'm planning to switch my drink-of-choice from Budvar (marketed as 'Czechvar' in the US) to low-alcohol lager. Sainsbury's do a remarkably tasty one!

tasty low alcohol lager: goes along with the Grand Theory of Everything as something that science will never figure out!

I'll admit I was sceptical...but this one is drinkable. Binding Drive, from Tescos, is OK, too...but avoid Cobra 0%, which tastes like watered-down soy sauce.
But, yes, on the whole, beer without alcohol is akin to....no...I can't say that here. (I was going to say something about pubic hair )
