A Brew Dog double IPA. If you held a match to this I think it would explode.
Wychwood's Christmas "Bah Humbug" is in the cupboard for after dinner. As is Stollen, because I've decided it's that time.

Did you bake the Stollen yourself?

No, it's just from the supermarket. But sometimes theirs is tasty, too!
Actually the best is from the German discount supermarket. This is from the more expensive one, and it's usually not as good!

oh I want Stollen but it is verboten Chez Sho until after 8th December (because that's my birthday and I don't think we should have Christmas until after then )

It's verboten bei mir until 1st of December, along with anything like tinsel, or Christmas music. But since this is the weekend, I'm bending the rules a bit. It doesn't seem fair for Stollen time to start on a Monday!

(I remember why I don't eat it very often. I feel like I've done all the eating I need to for three months. )

You're only human. I don't see a need for feeling guilty about craving something. A little bit of beer, or bacon, or anything else should not be especially harmful. It's the overindulging that's a problem. Is there a way to savor a little bit without going overboard?

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Dec 1, 2014
Yes... yes there is its called portion control, and I've managed, to loose (very gradually), 5 stone, without giving up any food types at all - denying myself bacon, butter, choclate, savory meat pies, etc, just would not have worked... so I didn't give any such things up, just reduced how much, size as much as anything, any given meal is/was and, trying to raise the veg/fruit by just increasing the amount of things, like mushrooms in any dish which contains them (at circa 11 calories per 100 Grams, I seriously overfose on mushrooms, which suits me as I love them - just trying to ensure one uses only what butter/fat is required, etc., for cooking them in) As I've droped clothes sizes, my plates/serving bowls have simularly gotten smaller.... I doubt its a coincidence Mind.... every now and then.... a seriously over the top bacon buttery extravogence is required, beyond my n ow normal reduced portion size of such, only not like four times a week or more having said which.... now its getting colder here.... where's my suet crust, steak n Kidney pudding
