Thanks for asking prof, I'm still bumping along on the low level, they say that I need Oxy for 15hrs a day, so I'm getting used to that. No-one to blame but me so I'm not wingeing, It's recoverable they say and that's a great thought to carry about.

I don't have a problem with benefits, I seem to at an age, with such a set of problems that I'm exempt from just about everything the rotten lot decide to do.

For some reason, prof, I thought that you were in a similar situation. It's like you say though, they always seem to go for the defenceless. It's a shame that they don't seem able to tackle their own lot and their tax fiddles.

It was always said that 90% of the wealth in this country was owned or controlled by 10% of the population. So how come all the troubles and therefore all the correction has to come from our pathetic 10%.

I thought that you were in a similar situationI am, I get basic pension credit now and nowt else. I couldn't have incapacity "as I didn't have enough stamps on" so it was lowest income support until 60th b/day. Can't have "mobility etc" as I can walk X amount, feed myself and go for a sh without anyone holding my hand

hope it's not a big and costly job to repair your pc TQ. If you haven't filled all the hard drive up, could you maybe partition it in half at 500gig each ? so if a problem occurs on one, you've got the other while repairs are carried out

Dunno prof, it won't even boot up to try that, I'm inclined to think that it's a bit more fundamental. The PC was an overclocked gigabite with an AMD 4 core running at 4.2gig. I've got it sort of working with a new install on a new disk, but it ain't right.

I've bought a half decent laptop (I was due a replacement) but now I have to transfer stuff over. I had an NTI back-up on a disk but it's a load of rubbish, I should have stuck to Ghost.

I had my logins and passwords in Norton vault and that's one of the few logins that I remembered, so I'm OK, just sick of all this crap.

I can't even offer any assistance TQ, my knowledge of pc's is poor. My fingers are crossed mate that you soon have it sorted, one way or't'other
I have a 500gig external hard drive and now and again, copy my stuff over. So if I have to wipe the pc, I've still got my stuff to put back on

"IF" you even have to wipe your pc/lap top because of a virus etc, this free program will wipe everything 100% off your hard drive - nothing remains

Argh! sorry to hear you'd been so bad TQ, I know your absence at times will be health related but this one! even mere colds can go over the top - I know from over a year ago. Hope you are heading back to "norm" my friend - please keep indoors and warm while recovering
