I knew about the house upgrade, prof, I've been following it. I would have hoped that they would have it sorted by now, sems that it would have been better to knock the whole place down and start again. I really should try to stay in touch, but when things are nagging away its easy to get fed up. Sorry.

Great post, prof, nature sure put you through the mill old mate. Y'know, there are times when I sit in quiet reflection, (not misery, I don't do that stuff) and I wonder, what if? Then I think, yeah, but if I'd taken that job/that course, I might be dead now.

When I've had a spat with the misses, I wonder, should I have married Maureen instead of Susan? Then I think, well at least I fathered my kids and knew it, I would never have been sure with the other one.

I think that you should write a play, I know that everone says "write a book", but I can see you as the writer of an hilarious play.

Don't be concerned if I go missing for a while. I am involved in a writing project (mostly Yanks) and I give the ba****ds a bit of welly sometimes. I'm currently in a major spat with a college Professor about Milton (the writer, not the chemic).
