When do your pipes and cardigans arrive? I presume they post them off after you join?

I think the pipes and cardigans are only available to the Inner Circle, which I'll only be allowed to join once I have grown a massive beard and start singing rude folk songs.

Unfortunately I was at the Nation Living History Fayre last weekend and thus couldn't do any beerfests... this gives me an idea though... next time there's a beer festival that's reasonably easy for most people to get to I think we should have a mini-meet there.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Sounds like a good plan to me; how about a mini meet for the CAmbridge beer festavil? I can put a few people up in my castle so long as people ain't afraid of the shark infested moat smiley - winkeyesmiley - biggrin and can knock up food for anyone who wants to pass by the castle smiley - coolsmiley - ale its one of the biggest beer festavils too I think... maybe the biggest I'm not sure smiley - doh We had a mini meet a few weeks.... months back remember at the Burton on trent beer festavil that was pretty darn good smiley - alesmiley - drunk

Any idea when the beer festival is? The Cambridge CAMRA website is a bit lacking in info.

Not for ages; this years has already been, so I guess some time in the spring or summer? I don't think theres many beer festavils left for this year now smiley - wah : Cambridge one might be a good un to go for though; easy to get here from London (48 mins from Kings X on the fast straight thorugh trains), smiley - ermsmiley - magic

Eh up, I too joined CAMRA a few weeks back, though apparently it'll take some time to get processed (Xmas and stuff got in the way, and one would imagine that the CAMRA peeps were down the pub).

Woo! D'you reckon we should set up a real ale club here? Maybe we could call it HOORA (Hootooers for Real Ale).

The Campaign for Real Ale

Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo)

That is a top idea (though I'm surprised there isn't one already). Do you know of any other potential HOORAs (apart from Le Mademoiselle Legs)?

I reckon there'll be a few in the Flat Cap & Mufflers but beyond that I'm not sure.

I'm trying to think who was drinking ale at the last meet but it all got too fuzzy too quickly.
