h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Garrett: I paid for this room. Leave me alone.

This room is very neat, as no one has actually been in it until now.

The sitting room has a couch, an armchair, a TV, and a table. The bedroom has two beds, a dresser, and a small table between the beds. The bathroom has a smallish bathtub and a shower, and a toilet (of course). Just outside of the bathroom is a sink with lots of surrounding surface.

Garrett comes in with Coren slung over one shoulder. He puts Coren on one of the beds and leaves him there for now, going to the sink to wash up.

He washes off his face, which had been covered in blackish stuff. (This is because Garrett is a , and was just doing something.)

He looks in the dresser. There are, magically, some of Coren's clothes, but, unfortunately, none of Garrett's. He takes out a dark green vest, a white shirt, and a pair of dark gray pants to change into anyway, and enters the bathroom, closing the door.

The shower running is heard. About ten minutes later, Garrett comes out, dressed in Coren's slightly-too-big clothes.

He lifts Coren off the bed and drags him into the bathroom. He turns on the cold water in the tub, and dunks Coren's head under.

Coren: What? Where? Oh... Garrett!

Garrett: You were asleep. I made you wake up. There are clothes of yours in the dresser. Go get some and take a shower.

Coren, grumbling, does as Garrett told him to. When he turns on the shower, Garrett slips out to go get some food.

Garrett returns with s s and He puts the food on the table on the sitting room.

Coren comes out of the shower, dressed in a brown shirt, a black vest, and dusty-green pants. He wanders into the sitting room, notices the food, and garbs a , eating it with amazing speed. He then eats half the s

Coren: Why didn't you get cream?

Garrett: Because I didn't have enough money with me, that's why. *shrug*

They finish the rest of teh food in short order. *black screen*

Esty knocks on the door. Coren answers, looking very dishevelled. He is wearing a pair of rumpled dusty-green pants and nothing else.

Esty: Delivery for you, sir.

Coren: What?

Esty: *snigger* Here. *holds out a piece of paper on a clipboard* Sign here, sir,

Coren: You're not a delivery girl, Esty. *looks at the paper* Oh, my paycheque from Anthea. *signs*

Esty: *snigger* Here. *detaches paper from clipboard and hands it to Coren*

Coren takes the paper and goes inside the suite. He drops the cheque on the table in the sitting room and goes into the bedroom. Garrett is stretched out on one bed, wearing a robe he has mysteriously acquired.

Garrett: Who was it?

Coren: Esty, with my paycheque from Anthea. Where'd you get that robe? You didn't have it when I answered the door.

Garrett: *shrug* I do not know. It would seem that we are being provided for by some mysterious being.

Coren: As long as it's contnuity-ous.

Garrett: How many times did Esty laugh?

Coren: Twice. Each time I yawned.

Garrett: *shrug* Eh. Come here, silly elf.

Garrett gets off the bed and grabs Coren around the waist. *black screen*

*walks in the door in a sit-com style by barging in with some swagger*

Hello, corr blimey it's dark in here

*switches on light*

I'm from the airing cupboard on the fourth floor, would you like some swagger???

*walks past the door*

Garrett:

Garrett pushes Lady Ayeka out the door and locks it with that chain slidey thingy.

Garrett:

Coren:

Coren: Huh? Wha? Why are people invading our room?

Garrett: I have NO idea. What do you think?

Coren:

*knocks on door*

You seemed to have pushed me out the room accidently and then to have locked the door, can you let me in?

Coren: Er... Why'd you want to come in? Sorry, but I think you woke up Garrett, coming in.

Oh, I'm sorry, I promise I won't ever come in again...so...nice weather we're having today!!!

Coren: Oh, you can come in as long as Garrett's not here... Which I believe he isn't, for now...

*comes in*

Do you mind if I help my self to a drink???

Just then...

-Knock knock, came a knocking from the door outside...

-It's Sunny. Let me in!!! I want to meet Coren!!!

-And... I have to give to elves... and thieves...

Esty: Garrett's working and Coren's somewhere else, but they'll be back soon.

Coren: ? Ooo! Please, come in. *bows to Sunny, with a suitable flourish, waving her through the door*

Garrett emerges from the bedroom, looking cross and rumpled. He is wearing his 'sneak suit' and looks rather as if he had climbed in through the window after a rather harrowing experience with wall-climbing guard dogs, which is in fact what happened.

Garrett: *sigh* Coren, why did you invite this... lady into our rooms?

Coren: Because she's a friend of Esty's and she has ?

Coren hands a piece of the to Lady Ayeka.

Coren: Did you have a hard time, Garrett?

Garrett: Yes. Some idiotic noble has bred wall-climbing dogs.

Garrett: *mutter* I told you not to do that in public... *mutter*

Garrett's heart is clearly not in his weak protest.

Coren:

The sweetness... *wonders why Garret got a paycheck a while ago and decides she'd better not ask*
