How long do accounts get premoderated for? Is it just a set amount of time or does it depend on the reason?

It can be for a set length of time or at the discretion of the Editors, depending on the behaviour of the Researcher on pre-mod.

It's been about 4 weeks now, pretty excessive since I didn't swear or make any sexist or rascist comments.

The Eds should have informed you when you were put on pre-mod how long it would be for.

Since they don't discuss such matters onsite I'd check your inbox for an email concerning this after they get back to the office on Monday morning.

I should also say that it depends on the site on which you are premoderated. The different hosts of different sites have different policies regarding accounts.

The responses here relate to h2g2, and I can see that your account isn't premoderated on h2g2.

Oh, OK. I thought that since all the message boards were interconnected that they were ran by the same hosts. Looks like it's back to the Citizens Required prison cell and premoderation for me then. I'll just have to get used to talking to myself. Thanks for replying.

That's really nice of you, but you might want to know why I'm being premoderated before you go to any trouble on my behalf.

Basically I changed my nickname so it looked like I worked for Leafstorm and posted a message saying some of the Citizens Required message boards were closing. I had a few people believing me as well. If you want to know the full story read my confession in the Citizens Required newspaper the GA

I've been released from Citizens Required prison and I'm no longer premoderated. I don't know if you had anything to do with this, but thanks anyway.

Spoke to soon there, I'm back in prison. But at least I'm not premoderated.

Have you read the House Rules on DannyWallace? It's better all round if you make sure you know what the rules are, to avoid a repeat jail stay

In the 4 days I was free, I hardly posted anything, just a thread saying I'd been released. And now I'm inside again. I'm guessing my release was a mistake and as soon as the leafstorm mods discovered I was free they locked me up again.

Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about that, Night_Flyer. We can't change your account status over there, so you need to email DannyWallace for the answers.

I'm resigned to my fate now. Besides, as the only prisoner left there's a weird cult springing up about me, dedicated to freeing me. I want to see how they get on. At least I'm not getting pre-moderated now.
