No, he's a guy who converts all the Discworld novels into plays.

But then how would regular theatre goers who don't have the time to read get to know Pratchetts work?

I suppose they could listen to the books on tape while driving to the theatre, but Stephen Briggs is the one that does those.

You don't like Pratchett then?

I wouldn't buy 'The Science of Discworld III: Darwins Watch' if I were you. It's mainly a science book and you'd need to have read the first two to know what's going on anyway.
Try 'Mort'. It's a story about a teenage boy who becomes Deaths aprentice.

Yeah, 'Small Gods' is one of his best. It's a tale about a poor novice who starts being commanded by his god . . . who is stuck in the body of a tortoise.
It's a very good anti-religion story, if you decide to look at it that way.

My favourite though is 'Men at Arms' which is a crime novel about a mysterious weapon called a "gonne". But you'd need to read 'Guards! Guards!' before you could read that.

Most people start on Mort. It's very early in the Discworld series and it's one of the best.
