There is very little to do in Coventry.
Unless you like bingo.

Bingo is not the only thing to do in Coventry. You can always drink tea, smoke fags and watch television in the privacy of your own homes.
It's not always a good idea to go outside, you know!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I'm selling Coventry a bit short here.
There's always the option of visiting one of the many pubs and nightclubs and indulging in a bout of drunken brawling.
For that real Saturday night / Sunday morning atmosphere remember to visit your local kebab house.

Cheeky sods. So it is my hometown and I may be a bit biased but at least it isn't Birmingham. Sixties brutalism can be quite inspiring in context, an underperforming football team can pass the time quite adequately and if you are really bored you can go for a drive on the RingRoad - Europe's largest dodgem ride - so dangerous it's safe. The two most important things to do in Coventry are to moan about the Council or do what I did. Leave.

Coventry is the pits, its as grey as Aberdeen, but when the sun comes out in Aberdeen it looks sparkly and highlights the lovely architecture, when the sun comes out in Coventry it just highlights the architecture, which in Coventry isn't a good thing, but as A. Phorism says at least it isn't Birmingham, or worse Walsall.

Gotta disagree - Coventry is far, far worse than Walsall or Birmingham. It is eerily like the town out of Blade Runner, only:
A) The town out of Blade Runner probably didn't have 50,000 banks, building societies and newsagents; and
B) The town out of Blade Runner looked like a much nicer place to live.
Once, I made the critical error of going to Coventry because I felt a bit glum, and needed cheering up. Never again...

Coventry has a lot to offer.
Parks - have you ever been to Coombe Park or the Memorial Park?
Museums - Try the Transport Museum which houses the 2 fastest cars on the planet or the Toy Museum, or even the Herbert Art gallery.
We have 2 very lovely Cathedrals. And a replica Roman Fort in Baginton. And a airport near there to do planespotting, or look at the old planes.
Trying looking for the home of former poet laureate Phillip Larkin, or visit the monument to the inventor of the Sewing machine. Also remember Coventry was the home 2-tone music, fronted by The Specials. We are no longer the Ghost Town they portrayed us as.
We have 2 cinemas, not just bingo halls. There is an ice rink in the Skydome, All sorts of stuff going on at the Belgrade Theatre. Numerous shops to suit all tastes, also a very good indoor market.
Several places to go 10 pin bowling. Our night clubs must be pretty good, Boy George came and DJ'd at one recently. Local music venues will be hosting bands such as Selector and Bad Manners in the very near future.
Then if your still bored you can go to the pub and there's tons of them, I personally recommend The Golden Cross in the city centre or The Phoenix in Far Gosford street (formally The Campbell).
If you still can't find anything to do in Coventry try going to the football, or the speedway,. We have an Ice Hockey team as well, and a basketball team.
So, Coventry isn't just all bingo halls, ok? So if your still bored, try the Bus depot in Pool Meadow for the Midland Red, or the Train Station and GO ELSEWHERE!

Coventry has only two redeeming features - the motorways and railways leading out.And boring old Beduth ain't much better. In fact, there's only one place worse I can think of and that's Bulkington.I shpild know,I had 32 miserable years living there!!!
