Oh it doesn't exist believe me, I would tell you how it came about but I would never be able to old my head up again... suffice to say that new specs would have assisted with part of the mistake.. the other was plain stupidity...

It is my view that composite words, whether they have become accepted as 'single' words or remain hyphenated, add a complicating (and therefore interesting) factor to be considered in our deliberations. But, if you prefer to keep it simple...
By the way, are words like 'co-ordinate' two words?

Simple is always better in my view and I find posting a specific number of letters to make up a word simple, the word, of course, may not be but the principle is.. were here for enjoyment and bit of light relief after a hard days work.. so in my view it should be fun and enjoyable and simple... a nice word that I like it... this is said light-heartedly so I hope it is taken the same way..

I appreciate your point, and I agree that simplicity (the word itself is pleasing) is often beneficial, but where is the challenge?
If you must, ban all hyphenated words (or set them apart) whether they are clearly one word, hyphenated to assist pronunciation (like co-ordinate) or are two words joined as one; the fact is that compound words, long accepted as single words, words we use daily, can be equally difficult to recognize ... you will be looking for them now...Rats, the Cat's out of the bag!
Night all!

I'm trying hard to remain awake and keep you all happy
Any more suggestions or comments can they please be directed here.I'd like to keep the main word threads clear of chit chat(even questionable posts mispellings etc)..they look more appealing..thats my logic because I'm an artist at heart and it keeps things uniform. All in favour say Aye !
