Hello love and thank you!!
Actually, it was my daughter Vicki Virago and a lot of Commander Supermoo's work from his PS... he is very talented!
I just said what I wanted and VV did the rest!
I have been waiting for 7 months to get that sorted, and not having any idea what to put...until the last couple of days that is!

Traveller in Time on his head
"Hmm, I think I have a _possible_ audience for some ACEs. Not the ususal greeting about the site, they (at first) do not really want to integrate into the HooToo society.
< A3390860 >.
GewWriting will most probably be closed in a while, those poor writers would become homeless. They just need a tab bit of deconfusion to get used to HooToo. And eventually some will be Researchers, some are already.
Hmm, think this is subject for the whole of the ACEs just think about it first.
They want to stay serious writers, not silly 14 year old doing silly games ! "

I don't think even I could qualify as a 14 year old anymore TT
Hootoo is plenty big enough to incorporate writers on a more adult theme, we just need to find out how we can help them best within our own confines
Hi there!
Scandrea Posted Dec 10, 2004
Maybe you could point them the way to the Underguide? It could be a lot more than what it is now when we get some serious writers contributing to it.

Traveller in Time on top
"Has been done before, 'Jodan' is on the petition to keep GetWriting online.
They have their daily challenges, their own Forums, more levels of creating an entry. Whatever they decide they will have to adapt. If they migrate to HooToo, they can stay together, that is one good thing.
My idea of a dedicated society is while they seem to be afraid of the level of topic drift and sillyness on HooToo. Creating their own place should keep some of that away for a while. "
Hi there!
Scandrea Posted Dec 10, 2004
That's true, I could see how certain things about that could scare them off- but I think I see what you're saying. A hootoo version of the old Wolf Run "Russian Alley," a place where immigrants can kind of stick together and get used to their new home rather than being thrown straight into it.
Hi there!
lil ~ Auntie Giggles with added login ~ returned Posted Dec 10, 2004
Could they not open a "Get Writing" forum here?
Their friends listing would also keep the majority of them in touch with each other.
Hi there!

I can't see there being any problem with that. We are all entitled to go to areas of our preference, let them create their own.

Paddiemac Posted Dec 10, 2004
I'm 51. I've been wandering around what you seem to call hootoo and the hub etc and found it all very interesting. The trouble with GW at the moment is that a sort of leming mentality has set in and anything mentioned not fitting in with existing understanding gets kicked.
Surely the BBCi would not permit '14 years olds' and old farts like GW members to mix anyway? Would presume not. We old gits would be out-manouvred.
Members who came to GW only through the GW door have had a hard enough time getting used to its ways - they just blow fuses if someone mentions there is more. And there may be a movement to frighten people off to other websites on the net?
Yes, I'm not keen on too many flashing symbols - they fog the old specs - but I'm still sure the hootoo folk have an answer to the GW ship sinking.
here's a smiley to show solidarity
Hi there!
Scandrea Posted Dec 10, 2004
Oh! We're not trying to frighten people off to other sites! We're trying to give them a place of their own in this one!
Check the link that Traveller in Time gave earlier in the convo- a place for you guys to do serious writing in the middle of the silliness- you might even get a few people like me, who have some stories to tell!

Hi Paddiemac
lil ol' me celebrated her 50th here online with the entire audience of hootoo last summer
Your friends will be amazed how many "oldies" there are on this site
We use the smileys to show our friendship towards others online.
It is not compulsory to use them, and many don't
I thought you and your friends could start your own forum on this site and eventually they could perhaps explore our other threads
lil xx

Traveller in Time writing entries everywhere but on the hub
"The hub seems to be a normal site, however you can not write entries (works) on it
It is the special environment only for the site editors. They need their playground too "

Lil my friend, I've just been looking at S.H.A.D.O.W and I'm baffled, I would fail at rules 1 to 4, my reputation is:- once seen never forgot. But at the bottom of the page is says about being noticed, so does Shadow wish to hide or shine forth???
