Seems I've done it again!
Yesterday I went to close the landing window and almost slipped down the stairs.
I grabbed the stairpost and managed to pull myself back, but was still unbalanced (not that one ) and ended up sitting on the stairs with a bump!
This jarred my back and my neck, so I'm not very comfortable, and it isn't helping my mood at the moment.
To make it worse.... I trod back onto the carpet grips under the stair carpet and gouged my heel quite a lot. So walking is quite difficult as well as sitting!
At least I am moving into a bungalow.. NO BLOODY STAIRS!

WOW, sorry to hear about all your troubles [excuses, good list].
Please feel free to kick this old dog while I am down.
I do hope this helps get your mine off the physical pain and you actually feel better soon.
I trust you will have hired hands to help with the move, they may also make good targets for some of your pent up emotions.

Hi AE..
*strokes the old dog*
Most here know that I have had 3 major ops on my neck over the last few years, so I am a bit of a coward when it comes to jarring myself. It also causes my hands to have shooting pains, instead of being in their normal numb state
Anyway, welcome to my journal... It's nice to have you here

oh Lil! (although I am sure Pete has already told you off for both of us)
I would heartily recommend your moving to a bungalow, I did it 10 years ago and haven't regretted it for a minute since. But I see you've already been a clever girl and got things in motion to move to a bungalow.
Now, until the move, don't do yourself any more injuries OK?

Lil, I am so sorry for your pain. Do take more care in future. At least as you say 'no more stairs'.
Don't get overdoing it with the move either, it is so easy to wear yourself out or do yourself more damage.
Take care,
Websailor

Ouch, Lil.
Keeping my fingers crossed for your move. Don't lift anything yourself!
My mother slipped when we were actually moving house. She was just carrying the last pot plants out of the house and skidded somehow on some loose cloths we had put down to protect the parquet flooring in the hall. She broke her arm and had the frustration of not being able to hang curtains herself or do much of the unpacking at the other end. In those days, you had your arm in plaster for several weeks!
So do look after yourself and I hope the move goes well.

Thanks everyone... I promise it wasn't done on purpose to get out of packing
GB!
*slurps *
I have a lot of heat going up and down my spine and neck.
At least pain hasn't increased, or gone down my arms, so the last operation is still working
I zonked myself out on tabs last night, and will be on them again today, so don't expect me to post anything sensible.
.... Whatya mean 'did I ever?'
